FAM AN MARS is honored to announce that applications are now open for the UNFCCC–UNU Early Career Climate Fellowship Programme, a prestigious initiative offering young professionals from developing countries—including Mauritius—a unique opportunity to begin their careers at the intersection of international climate policy and research.
Jointly hosted by the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and the United Nations University (UNU) in Bonn, Germany, the fellowship provides a one-year placement (renewable for a second year) with world-leading institutions shaping climate governance and environmental resilience.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Must originate from a developing country (Mauritius qualifies)
- Must hold or be completing an advanced university degree (Master’s or PhD) in a relevant field
- Must be 32 years or younger at the time of application
- Must demonstrate fluency in English and engagement in climate-related activities
- Priority will be given to women, especially from Least Developed Countries
