
The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) has officially launched a High-Level Steering Committee aimed at monitoring the implementation of the government’s agenda, as announced by the President of the Republic on 24 January 2025. Prime Minister Navin Ramgoolam emphasized the government’s commitment to enhancing the well-being of Mauritian citizens and bridging the path towards a prosperous future.
“We are dedicated to fulfilling our promises to the citizens of Mauritius by effectively realizing our program. I rely on this committee to ensure the efficiency of our actions”, declared Prime Minister Ramgoolam during the committee’s inaugural announcement.
The committee will be chaired by Hon. Dhaneshwar Damry, the Junior Minister of Finance and will convene regularly as per a predetermined schedule. Its primary objectives include discussing the progress of government projects, facilitating information sharing to ensure seamless coordination between ministries and proposing actionable measures to expedite or improve project implementations.
The committee boasts a diverse membership, comprising key figures from various sectors of the government:
Chairperson: Honorable Dhaneshwar Damry, Junior Minister, Ministry of Finance
Vice-Chairperson: Mr. Suresh Chundre Seebaluck, Secretary to the Cabinet and Head of the Civil Service

A representative from the Ministry of Financial Services and Economic Planning
Mr. Kailash Ruhee, Advisor at the PMO
