Soong Ching Ling Foundation’s Women Leadership Forum Strengthens Female Bonds and Empowers the Future

On Sunday 21 July 2024, the Soong Ching ling (Mauritius) Foundation hosted a Women Leadership Forum at Voila, Bagatelle, attracting a hundred women leaders from various sectors. The event, themed “Believe in you, Trust in Togetherness”, was attended by the Mayor of Curepipe, Mrs. Devika Pabaroo, and the Mayor of Beau-Bassin/Rose-Hill, Mrs. Rajeneedavee Mootoo Caroopen.

The hall was filled with enthusiastic and motivated women leaders from diverse backgrounds, all eager to participate in the conference. The forum featured a remarkable leadership lecture by Ms. Kathleen LAI, who inspired the audience by highlighting the importance of female leadership and emphasizing the need to identify and support young women leaders to help them shine in their respective fields.

A special training session was also conducted by Mr. Jean-Paul Lam, focusing on the concept of “Believe and Grow Together”. The audience had the opportunity to learn more about Ms. Kathleen Lai’s leadership role and professional responsibilities, as well as the challenges she has overcome for the greater good.

The event aimed to promote women’s empowerment and leadership development, providing a platform for women to network, share experiences, and learn from each other’s successes and challenges.
