A concrete biology encompassing the whole scheme of man’s existence should focus on religious experiences which will certainly help us to get a better understanding of human behavior in connection with the biological process.
The reconciliation between religion and doctrine of natural selection can be effected if man lays more stress on the reality of things rather than to sit idle in his lounge to criticize spiritual realities supposedly based on mere speculation. The frustrated desires of our spiritually bereft civilization will bring nothing except chaos among the world population.
Religions have always contributed to open windows to the outer world of mind, soul and spirit so that man can venture beyond the notion of time and space in the evolutionary continuum instead of sleeping in a deep well as he is used to think that he has explored the world as frogs pretend to do.
The miraculous Ascension (Me’raaj) of the Beloved Prophet of Islaam Swallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam is a vivid event that stimulates the sublime man that there are lots of mysteries to be explored in the outer world beyond matter, time and space.
Some are of opinion that Prophets, saints and other religious genii have often shown symptoms of nervous instability or have been subject to abnormal psychical visitations. Some are under the impression that creatures of exalted emotional sensibility often lead discordant inner life and suffer melancholy at certain point of their journey. Furthermore, they have known no measure and have been liable to obsessions and fixed ideas, and consequently they have fallen into trances, heard voices, seen visions and presented various kinds of peculiarities which are normally classified as pathological. These peculiarities have marked the life of people living around them which are supposed to culminate in a systematic realm of mind control mechanism.
Medical psychologists, behaviorists and naturalists have drawn hasty and unjustified conclusions that such religious experiences are products of neurotics, mental disorders and psychical abnormalities. According to some conventional researchers normal human nervous system and metabolism gifted by Nature are meant to be mechanism of common biological existence which works laterally with the ordinary states of consciousness. But it is an accepted fact that normal ordinary consciousness does not cover the entire realm of spiritual phenomenon.
There are different types of consciousness of different dimensions which cannot be simply comprehended by our ordinary categories of senses and our normal human nervous system. Man should be able to distinguish between physical, material, metaphysical and spiritual existence. Physical and material bodies can be seen and touched. Metaphysical realities can be simply felt such as air, but spiritual phenomenon can’t be seen, touched, felt or understood by our ordinary categories of common senses logics.
A true biology covering the whole scheme of life should not ignore spiritual realities which are beyond the realm of the world of matter. Such attitude cannot quench the thirst of our new generation. We are thoroughly witnessing the reactions of our youngsters against those protagonists who simply tend to divert their attention from these realities without furnishing any concrete example or proof.
Can we imagine their disappointment attributed to the disturbing effect of being persuaded that science has dismissed the spiritual side of the universe as superstitions?
Science and conventional psychology offers no satisfactory answer to our enlightened academicians and scholars in the modern era. We have also observed how these elements have resulted in inner conflicts and intense emotions and created illusion among people who wanted to grasp psychical abnormalities by hook or by crook. Quantitative and experimental analysis of nature’s interactions carried out by scientists who represent nature in terms of numbers and measurements as means of test and experiments have failed to convince people of advance knowledge and deep intuition of the digital age.
The real fact is that when other types of abstract consciousness, with quite different ideas and emotions erupt the mind and the mental borders, disrupt them temporarily and sometimes permanently, depending upon the impact of the intensity of the invasion. Such conditions look pathological, in fact are not productive of any particular extraordinary type of experience but only caused by their effect.
Late Dr Fazl-ur-Rahman Ansari, the founder of the Islamic Institute of Pakistan, had introduced the term “para-psychology’ in order to respond to the call of the new generation and to help them for the sound understanding of psychical facts and supra-naturalistic origins. He has broadened and deepened our knowledge as well as extended the idea of reality beyond the horizon of sense and logical intellect.
Man, as miniature kingdom, cannot depend on physics and chemistry based on statistical laws to fly through the outer world of mysteries of mystical origins. It has been observed that such religious genii have often presented symptoms of nervous instability.
Spiritual practitioners without the guidance of a spiritual guide may be subjected to abnormal psychical visitations. On the other hand a seeker of Truth stands between the hands of his spiritual instructor and start learning the grammar of the heart. The man of this obliteration does not speak except with wisdom. He strictly follows the process of internal purification until his heart start shining and attains the state of spiritual consciousness.
Our naked eyes and obstructed mind will certainly restrain our perspectives of inner visions to understand what is really going on. We can only conclude that these people know no measure and are liable to obsessions and fixed ideas and subsequently they are plunged in a strange world. It is really wonderful on our parts to draw petty and baseless conclusion out of total ignorance.
We cannot grasp to the spiritual realm through acquired knowledge or rational enquiry based upon conventional experience and observation. The foundation of spiritual network is linked with one’s act of voiceless prayer, worship and devotion. Act of service to the Supreme Existence. It is the only station through which a gnostic receives direct inspirational insight or spiritual savouring. Depending upon God’s grace and his latent spiritual transparency, power and capacity the brilliant burning of the Divine Flame appears in the whole complex of his physical and spiritual complex and unveils a clear and vivid spiritual vision. Now the microcosmic existence stands humbly in the presence of the macrocosmic Power (Divine Power Station) nothing remains except Holy, Holy, and Holy. Here he asks to receive help and guidance.
We note with deep regret that the present climate of academic ‘learning’ has missed its target partly because the entire educational process is absorbed into a total culture module whose tentacles stretch around the globe accepted by all unconditionally with no resistance.
How can we imagine that a systematic research in religious field linked with the world of matter and spiritual experiences linked with Divine Cosmic Consciousness will destroy man’s relation with the rest of cosmological world?
Being given that all powers of Nature made potentially subservient to man; he has simply to stand and conquer Nature within and without and he should never bow to it in superstitious fear.
Man perceives realities of nature in physical universe in mathematical order, beauty and sublimity. They also manifest in the intellect that tries to mirror them by laws of reason, logic and causation. Religious practices and experiments carried out by spiritual practitioners bear testimony to a type of consciousness which cannot be describe either in terms of senses and logical understandings.
Moreover, the nature of prophetic profound exposure in the Divine Essence belongs to a quite different dimension of being not comprehended by ordinary categories of sense and understanding. The Mission of the Last Prophet of Islaam Muhammad Swallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam is most outstanding. No vocabulary, no language and no expression can point out the dimension of the realty of His Blessed personality. Whoever claims to be sharp sighted cannot by any conventional effort see his essence. No thinker, no philosopher, no biologists and no hyper active flying brain will be able to comprehend the nature of prophetic revelations originating in the ineffable Divine realm of Power and glory.
Absurd discussions, ridiculous debates and outrageous arguments about the nature of Prophetic ascension on the 27th Night of Me’raaj will only lead the abyss of satanic garbage.
