Emirates to operate a repatriation flight to Mauritius, helping nationals and residents from more than 40 countries return home

Emirates has announced it will operate a repatriation flight to Mauritius on 7 September, utilising its flagship A380 aircraft. The special flight will facilitate travel for Mauritian nationals and residents who are currently abroad and wish to return home.  

Emirates flight EK 703 will depart Dubai at 8:30hrs and arrive in Mauritius at 15:05hrs. The return flight, EK 704 will depart Mauritius at 17:35hrs and arrive to Dubai at 00:10hrs the following day. Customers can book for flight EK704 on emirates.com or via travel agents. 

The Emirates A380 repatriation flight will offer customers whose plans were disrupted by COVID-19 enhanced connectivity to the island nation via Dubai. Travellers  from more than 40 countries including the US,  Canada, Australia, New Zealand, UK, Japan, Kenya, France, Switzerland, Germany, Belgium, Malaysia, Maldives, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, and Tanzania now have the option to connect safely and efficiently to Mauritius, via Dubai. 

Oomar Ramtoola, Emirates Manager in Mauritius and the Indian Ocean Islands, said: “Mauritius is a very important market for us and we are very pleased to play a vital role in helping nationals and residents from across the world return back home. We would like to thank the authorities and our partners for their ongoing support and we look forward to resuming passenger services when it is commercially and operationally feasible to do so.”

The Emirates A380 experience remains a customer favourite because of its spaciousness, quietness and comfort in all cabins. Customers are reminded that travel restrictions remain in place, and travellers will only be accepted on these flights if they comply with the eligibility and entry criteria requirements.
